Leadership Coaching for personal and professional development

Learn how to let go of old patterns and unlock your highest potential

A fast-paced and frequently changing environment seems to have become the norm: higher expectations, faster delivery, bigger impact.

We know it isn’t sustainable, but it’s also unlikely to change.

So what are your options?

  • You can empower yourself to take back control in the areas where you do have choice

  • You can learn to self-manage and self-lead so you’re well- resourced to face the challenges that come your way

  • You can equip yourself with tools and practices to optimise your growth and improve your quality of life.

Coaching empowers you to let go of what’s holding you back and to take ownership of the life you want to live.

    • Gain deep insight into your default operating system and the adaptive strategies you’ve been using to keep you safe

    • Understand how your beliefs, habits and stories have been holding you back and what you can do to shift them

    • Learn the power of self-reflection as a healthy foundation for self-responsibility and self-accountability

    • Learn to regulate your inner state and show up with emotional maturity and adaptability

    • Explore your communication and interaction style so you can improve your impact and influence

    • Increase empathy and understanding for other perspectives to create inclusive and trusting relationships

    • Learn how to work with different personality types and improve your communication effectiveness

    • Improve inter-personal dynamics and collaboration with your team/clients/colleagues

    • Start integrating more diverse perspectives into your thinking for improved creativity, innovation and growth

    • Learn to anticipate and proactively adapt to changes and dynamics within the bigger group

    • Develop a more holistic understanding of your environment for broader impact and more effective problem-solving

    • Learn to apply your insight and learning to different areas to bring about more meaningful change

When we choose the support of a coach, what we’re asking for is someone to:

  • Provide a safe container to discuss the real stuff of our lives, work and relationships

  • Help us identify our patterns so we stop pressing the repeat button on our habits

  • Help us look at things from a different perspective & challenge us on our crap

  • Hold up a mirror and help us hear the brilliant, insightful thoughts we don’t hear within ourselves

  • Hold us accountable to the lives we talk about living, and the teams we talk about leading, but aren’t doing anything about

How it works:

Coaching programmes are typically 3-6 months (6-12 sessions) and start with:

  1. Goal setting session: 3-way discussion with your line manager to align your focus areas with the organisation’s needs (if relevant)

  2. Enneagram report & debrief:  deep-dive look at your leadership strengths, motivations, triggers and challenges.

If you’re unsure of what you need most right now, get in touch and we can chat about your options.

About Your Coach

Jessica Uys is an ICF-Credentialed and Trauma-Informed  Coach, Enneagram Facilitator & Organisational Culture Researcher. After an initial career in the corporate world, including a position as Consumer & Market Insights Director for Unilever, she’s spent the last 12 years supporting her clients in their personal and professional development. She believes in self-leadership as the basis for growth and her passion is in allowing each individual to discover their unique style of leadership so they can lead from a place of personal alignment and empowerment.

My Approach to Coaching:

  • A holistic approach considers the person as a whole, because one aspect of our lives impacts all others.

  • The environment or system we’re in provides critical backdrop for how we move forward.

  • I believe in pushing people past their habitual levels of comfort but that it’s also possible to do so in a kind and supportive manner

  • I believe that learning is made all the richer when we’re able to laugh at life, and ourselves

  • We are more than our thinking brains and there is an intelligence to be accessed from our emotions and our bodies

  • Integrated insights from a variety of fields including the Enneagram, Conscious Leadership and Conversational Intelligence

  • Fundamentally, all of these elements need to be used intuitively so that we’re adapting to our moment-to-moment changing needs and not according to a fixed or formulaic approach.

** Please note: Whilst I am a trauma-informed Enneagram coach, I am I am not qualified to work with trauma. Should you require work that is beyond my scope of practice, I will refer you to the relevant professional.
