The things I hope you learn this year

The things I hope you learn this year:

  1. You aren’t needy and you aren’t asking too much. You’re just asking the wrong person.

  2. You’re never going to be everybody’s cup of tea. Nor do you want to be.

  3. The conversations you don’t want to have are usually the ones you should.

  4. You think you can’t, but you absolutely can.

  5. It’s an act of self-love to leave situations, jobs and people that have you feeling less than.

  6. You should never believe the thoughts you have about yourself when you’re tired.

  7. Some things can’t be outrun. The pace is the pace.

  8. You are 100% worthy of an abundant, prosperous, and overflowing life.

  9.  Feeling vulnerable is a sign of an open heart. Don’t shut it down.

  10.  The way others treat you says more about them than it does about you.

  11.  You don’t have to explain yourself.

  12.  Sharing your uncomfortable truths always leaves you lighter.

  13.  You have a lot more power than you give yourself credit for.

  14.  The right people will stay in your life without a struggle.

  15.  You can’t expect connection with someone disconnected from themselves.

  16.  Saying no is always an option.

  17.  The people in your life want to help. Let them.

  18.  No one stops loving you because of 5kg.

  19.  On the days you feel dark, scary things, tomorrow will be better.

  20.  It’s not too late. For anything.

  21.  Someone’s inability to deal with your emotions doesn’t mean you’re too emotional.

  22.  Even the dullest flame has the potential to be reignited.

  23.  Wanting to grow is healthy. Feeling like you have to fix yourself, is not.

  24.  You’re generally happier when you give less of a fuck.

  25.  Ageing is a part of life. You’re still beautiful.
