  • The BodyTalk Cortices Technique – The Brain Reboot

    “Everything works again if you unplug it for a while. Including you”

    This is a great BodyTalk stress-reducing technique for daily use. Think of it as an immediate brain reboot.  It helps balance the brain, calm the nervous system and speed up the healing process.

    I recommend practising it at least once a day, but you can do it as often as necessary, especially during moment of stress or when you feel you need a bit of a “reboot”. If you’ve just had a BodyTalk session and you want to make sure the changes are stored in your system, using this technique for a few days after your session will also help.

    The video shows you how to do it. It’s really simple and once you’re familiar with it, can be done really quickly.

    Some additional pointers:

    • Make sure you start right at the base of the skull – this is where the amygdala is located and you want to make sure you’re balancing that “fight or flight” part of the brain
    • Keep your fingers closed and make sure you move your hand once position at a time – the aim is to cover the whole surface of the brain
    • Take long, full breaths – in whilst you tap on your head, out whilst you tap on your sternum
